Duties: Under the supervision of the Political/Economic Chief, the Self-Help Coordinator is responsible for directing both the implementation and management of Pol/Econ administered development assistance programs. This includes but is not limited to the Ambassador’s Special Self-Help Fund, Democracy and Human Rights Fund (SSH/DHRF), PEPFAR small grants program, and the Julia Taft for Refugees Fund. He/She supervises one Locally Employed Staff Grants Administrator, including drafting the employee’s annual performance and appraisal report. This is a full-time position and requires a Secret-level clearance.

Requirements:
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of general business management, project management, or development assistance experience is required. (Please note that one credited year of working experience is equal to 40 hours/week x 52 weeks or 2080 hours)
Education Requirements:
Two (2) years of university studies are required. (Please note that you need to submit U.S. education equivalency certification/transcript if you studied in a foreign college/university).
Evaluations:
Language: Good Working Knowledge (Writing/Speaking) in English is required. This may be tested.
Skills and Abilities: Must possess MS Office skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. This may be tested.
