Supply Clerk Maintenance Job Opportunity At US Embassy Cameroon Full Time

Summary

This position is responsible for managing the maintenance supply division of Expendable Supply and Property. The incumbent will store and issue facilities maintenance supplies, maintain knowledge of spare parts and tools, and interact with technicians and vendors.

Responsibilities

Manage the maintenance supply division, ensuring efficient organization and inventory control.
Issue facilities maintenance (FM) supplies to FM technicians in a timely and accurate manner.
Research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of spare parts and tools required by maintenance technicians through catalogs and online resources.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and usage.
Interact with vendors to ensure timely acquisition of supplies.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a warehouse, maintenance, supply chain, or related role in a large organization (over 50 employees).
Job Knowledge: Understanding of local vendors and their procedures.
Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Language: Good working knowledge of written, spoken, and reading English is required. Limited written and spoken French is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:Accuracy in arithmetic and inventory management.
Excellent memory for functions and locations of supply items.
Patience and tact in dealing with internal and external customers.
Physical ability to move heavy items (up to 40 kg).
Typing proficiency of at least 20 WPM.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Ability to research information on the internet.
