Public Health Program Advisor – Cooperative Agreements (Cameroon)
Summary:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking a qualified Public Health Program Advisor to join the Cooperative Agreement and Finance Team in Cameroon. This role serves as a key advisor on all financial and administrative aspects of cooperative agreements managed by CDC health programs. You will be the primary point of contact for implementing partners, ensuring they comply with USG requirements.
Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice to the Deputy Director on financial and administrative elements of cooperative agreements.
Serve as the main contact for USG/CDC-funded implementing partners on administrative and financial matters.
Facilitate, coordinate, and communicate partner compliance with USG requirements for collaborative agreements.
Manage all documentation and reporting associated with cooperative agreements.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in administrative management for public health or international development programs. Experience managing grants, contracts, or cooperative agreements is preferred.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of cooperative agreement administration principles, guidelines, and procedures. Knowledge of audit and accounting requirements, public health programs, and the host country operational environment (including laws and regulations) is essential.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Public Health, Management, or International Development (or equivalent from the host country).
Skills: Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving, budget management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) are required.
Languages:
Fluent (speaking, reading, writing) in English and French (mandatory).
